When you first start playing, it might seem like pickleball clothing is only meant to be worn to, on, and from the court. In actuality, just like any other sport or gym wear, apparel is a lot more versatile than that. Sure, some performance wear is crafted specifically for on-court performance, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be worn off-court. Also, some apparel is made for both on and off court.
Good Pickleball Apparel Material
For versatility, cotton is king here. Cotton can come in many forms, but typically it’s a great material to support most environments. It is an absorbent, supportive, protective material, made for indoor and outdoor games.
Performance wear introduces a nylon blend. This gives a bit more stretch for movement. It also gives a little more breathability for increased heat production. Lastly, it is made of moisture wicking material to help with perspiration.
